EVENTS
EMPTY BOWLS DINNER FUNDRAISER
Empty Bowls is an international project to fight hunger. The basic idea for EMPTY BOWLS is simple. Participants paint ceramic bowls which are then donated to an Empty Bowls Dinner where a simple meal of soup and bread is served. In exchange for the meal and the bowl, guests give a donation which is in turn donated to a local food bank or charity. Guests choose a bowl to use during the empty bowls dinner and to keep as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in the world.
Hands On is proud to announce that this is the third year we are participating in the EMPTY BOWLS event, You can get involved TODAY by painting a bowl to donate to the EMPTY BOWLS DINNER. Simply stop in and choose a bowl. Bowls range from $8-$12. We'll even waive the studio and glazing fees for anyone who paints a bowl to donate to this event. Then, you can attend the EMPTY BOWLS DINNER on February 21st (Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday) at the Turf Club 6-10pm. Tickets are $20 each and are available at Hands On.
The Southern Idaho Parrot Head Club spearheads the local "EMPTY BOWLS DINNER" event, where the Parrot Heads serve a variety of gourmet soups donated by local restaurants and bakeries. This fun evening includes a silent auction, door prizes, raffle items and live music by local favorite, Crossfire. Dance the evening away as we Party with a Purpose and raise needed funds for our local community. All the money raised at the EMPTY BOWLS DINNER stays right here in the Magic Valley and is donated to the Twin Falls Senior Center and The Salvation Army.
